Terms of service
Last updated July 10, 2026
1. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You must be at least 13 years old to use Veocast. Each person may hold one account, and you are responsible for all activity that happens under it. Keep your credentials to yourself — we will never ask for your password.
2. Content and licenses
Creators retain full ownership of everything they publish on Veocast. By publishing, a creator grants Veocast a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, transcode, distribute, and promote that content on the platform and in platform marketing. This license ends when the content is removed, except for copies needed to complete transactions already in progress.
Creators warrant that they hold all rights necessary to publish their work — including footage, music, performances, voices, and likenesses — and that publishing it on Veocast violates no agreement or law. See the content policy for what is and is not allowed.
3. Purchases and rentals
- Prices are set by creators, not by Veocast.
- Rentals unlock a limited viewing window shown at checkout — by default 48 hours from first purchase.
- Purchases grant a personal, non-transferable license to stream the title on Veocast. A purchase is not a file download and not a transfer of ownership.
- No refunds are issued after playback starts, except where required by law.
4. Payments and payouts
Payments are processed by Stripe; Veocast never stores card numbers. Revenue from each transaction is split 80% to the creator and 20% to Veocast, after payment processing fees. Creators are responsible for their own taxes on earnings, and payouts require a completed Stripe account in a supported country.
5. Acceptable use
Do not scrape the catalog, redistribute or re-stream content, share account access to bypass purchases, or circumvent any technical protection on the player or delivery pipeline. Automated access to the service other than through interfaces we publish is not permitted.
6. Takedowns and termination
We may remove content that violates these terms or the content policy, and may suspend or terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations. Where practical we give notice and a chance to respond, but we may act immediately when content poses legal risk or harm to others. Creators can remove their own titles at any time.
7. Disclaimers and liability
Veocast is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. Content is published by independent creators, and Veocast does not endorse or guarantee it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Veocast's total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we make material changes we will post the new version here and update the date above; continued use after that date means you accept the new terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of [Jurisdiction].
