Privacy policy

What we collect

  • Account details — your email, display name, and, for creators, a handle and payout profile.
  • Watch activity — which titles you view, your playback position, and your watchlist.
  • Device data — browser type, rough location from IP, and diagnostic logs that help us keep playback working.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe — card numbers never touch Veocast.

How we use it

We use this data to run the service: resuming playback where you left off, recommending titles you are likely to enjoy, showing creators how their work performs in aggregate — never per-viewer identities — and calculating payouts. We do not sell personal data.

Cookies and local storage

Veocast uses cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your watchlist, and store playback position. None of this is used for advertising.

Third parties

  • Supabase — database and authentication.
  • AWS — video storage and delivery.
  • Stripe — payments and creator payouts.
  • YouTube — some titles are embedded from YouTube, and embedded players may set their own cookies under their own policies.

Your rights

You can request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and its data. Email legal@veocast.ai and we will respond within 30 days.

Retention

We keep account data while your account is active and delete or anonymize it within 90 days of account deletion, except records we must keep for tax, payment, or legal reasons.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will post the update here and note the new date above before it takes effect.
